Hi. My front passenger window rolls down lickety-split, but recently rolls up super-duper slow. I’ve already tried lubricating the sides, but it didn’t make a dent. I’m all but positive it’s gonna go from slow to no-go soon enough, and wanna be proactive about it. Not sure if there’s any option left other than to….replace….the motor…or regulator? Being as I don’t know which is at fault, I figure I’d get the combo to play both sides, and it's cheaper than the two units sold separately and I'd rather take the door off just this once. But I don’t see many people talking about such a dual-device, let alone a step-by-step instructional regarding how to replace the old motor and regulator with the combo. One question is: does the motor part of it attach to the same place as the old motor? Will it all become obvious, like a jigsaw puzzle, when I'm eyeballing it? I guess my most basic, burning question is: can someone with little-to-no experience in this particular area be able to do the switcharoo? I know that meddling inside the little metal caves behind the door can even try the patience of a seasoned mechanic. But it’s absurdly expensive to have an auto shop do it compared to DIY...
