How much of a pain in the butt would it be to convert non-power windows to power windows? Would I need the entire wiring harness (along with the obvious power regulators, switches, motors, etc...), or can the wiring be run and wired into the fuse box on its own circuit?

If you want the factory look and operation, yes it's a pain in the butt.

When I converted mine, I mounted a double switch on the dash(beside the lighter) so I only had to run 2 wires into each door.
For power, I just tapped into a keyed power slot in the fuse box.(and ran an inline fuse)

The mounting points are exactly the same.
You do have to drill out the big horkin' rivets though!
