its $2600 another $1200 to ship it to me in GA
is this a good buy with the amount of Rust on it or should i keep looking
Personally, I think you could do A LOT better in GA than that. I'd even call that one "pretty crispy" here in MI.
Clearly a salt belt vehicle.......

If its that rusted in the photos the core support is almost certainly a memory. X3 to there must be better examples closer to you that haven't been subjected to that level of corrosion

Unless you have the necessary body repair skills and equipment, you are looking at a LOT of sheet metal repair expenses.

There are better ones out there. I hauled a 1999 of to scrap because it was in the same shape. After fixing the rockers I found the radiator core support to be needing a lot of attention. I figured I would have had a seriously expensive rust bucket. So I kept a few parts and said goodby.

Nope..I think you'd spend your ownership time with it forever being worked on by you or someone else that wants to make $5-10K... Pass on ANYTHING that has any cancerous rust..what you can see is probably only the tip of the iceberg..with 90% of it showing up in the immediate future.

I would suggest you watch Fitzee's Fabracation's on YouTube if you don't have alot experience with rust replacement sheetmetal. He's up in New Foundland and a great teacher of metal body repairs. Good luck and hope this helps!

Jeff,
That Fitzee Fabrication is a very interesting site. Thanks for the suggestion.
I've spent some time watching his videos, and I will be watching a lot more.
I have a most of the same tools, and some experience with them, so it has given me confidence to do some things I would have not considered.

Maybe for $500 and free shipping to use for parts. You have got a lot and I do mean A LOT of repairing to do on that one, and rocker panels suck! Just the body work is going to be a project and since it has 170,000 miles on it, you can bet there are a few mechanical issues to go along with the body. Bet on fuel and brake lines, e-brake cables at the very least. That vehicle was either driven for many winters in the north or it was sitting in the ocean for a while - or both!! I'd wait for something else.
