Heh! JODI 😃Yes I already had the leak. Discovered it by it overheating one day. From that point on I've just been filling it every time I drive and it's it about 5 miles at a time to from work and store but it used to just come from the front leaking out on the ground but now it seems like it goes to the back. It never did it until we got -1 degrees over Christmas but I put in antifreeze and drove it so it would get into hoses. Could a freeze plug have popped? This started so much right after the cold that I thought rain froze under the van on inside the bumper or line a leak around the back doors. It leaks normally anyways but I was assuming because we got a ton of rain then what they called a "flash freeze" but it hasn't stopped leaking there yet.
LISTEN 2 the fellas as they R VERY WISE & KNOW their stuff 👍
Bryan helped me with my vans issues about the same thing & has a WEALTH of knowledge...very helpful 👌
I had same issues with my 92' ASTRO last month in December & prior to that back in October after having a big job done on my girl in August. I had to take mine in an out of state shop TWICE as she was leaking again & I noticed it as the 2nd time I saw anti freeze fluid on the floor on my passenger side & was concerned it was coming from my heater core (those can cost you $750 & up 😲)
BUT was NOT ....another hose that needed replacing & I had a leak @ my manifold as well.
Heater Core was FINE 🙂
My girl has over 402,500 miles & has her original motor & tranny so I AM BLESSED 🙌 She hasn't required any major engine repair but I keep her up on oil changes & take darn good care of her ...been driving her 25 years as of June this year ❤
I have found this forum site 2 B extremely VALUABLE & U LEARN A GREAT DEAL 👍
I had been originally brought to this site this past August in looking for my girls front grill bowtie or "butterfly" 🦋 as "someone" had called it 😆
Bryan & sixsix helped me FIND one after years of NEVER being able too so I was THRILLED 😁
I put it on MYSELF with alittle ingenuity & patience 2 ( YEP!! WOMEN CAN DO IT 2 😆)
I was pretty proud of myself even tho it wasn't a big complicated job but considering how long she had been without one, I was tickled 2 finally B driving my girl sporting her NEW ( well almost ) " decoration 💟 😃
Most of the guys can do their own repairs, & even design & fabricate parts from wrecking yards to do it ( Bryan) They do their own & help the rest of us in troubleshooting & not have to rely on a shop so they R VERY FORNUATE!!
HOPE U R able to get your leak (s) found & FIXED ! GOOD LUCK 👍
WELCOME 2 the forum BTW 😃
