Well, I didn't take any pics, cause I needed to get it done and get to work, but this is what I did:
First, I removed all the remaining glass that was still in the track that I could get. I removed the inner door panel, and removed the outer window wiper/weatherstrip from the door. I loosened the mirror so I could pull the channel weatherstrip all the way out. I then finished removing the glass fragments from the weatherstrip. I also removed the metal track that is inside the door near the hinge (one bolt). I vacuumed all the broken glass out while it was apart, and I did enjoy the fact that the inside of the door was rust free. I inserted the glass from the outside with the front part going in first, the window at a 45* angle. I powered the window almost all the way down and inserted the front wheel into the track while the window was at an angle. I then put the glass level and powered the window up slightly so the rear track wheel was almost at the end of the track. I moved the glass as close to the hinge, out of the rear channel weatherstrip, and I could just get the rear wheel into the track. I then powered the window down so I could get the front of the glass back into the rubber channel weatherstrip, powered it all the way up, then replaced the metal channel piece back into the door. Replaced all the door panels, making sure that all the linkages were still working (locks, handle, etc).
What a way to spend a Monday morning. I'm out $52.80 for the glass, and I have a hole where a radio was. I think my van is not liked. First it's hit, now it's broken into.
At least they didn't take it.
