Should I be concerned with aftermarket wheels and towing a 4000lb TT?
as in Will the wheels be able to handle towing like the chevy wheels do?

I'm rerally considering staying with the stock size wheel/tire combo because I really do NOT wand the ride and handling to change in any way.

thanks
Ken

Hi Ken, I think it would depend on what type of aftermarket wheel you used. There are some lightweight aluminum wheels that I wouldn't want to use. Check up on the wheels you are interested in and see what people has to say about them. You might also want to ask at your local tire shops. I bought my van used and the guy I bought it from pulled a trailer with a import dirt track car on it and the van was loaded with his family. It has american racing aluminum wheels on it. If you don't want the ride or handling to change I would definitely stay with the original size tire and wheel. That's just my :2: I am sure you will get some more input on this question. Maybe some other members will have some wheel suggestions.

Hi cosway

Their are so many tires and rims available today it can make your head spin. The important things to look for is "load rating", "offset" and "width". Just mention this to the people you talk with that you want at least the same load rating or higher (per rim) that the factory rims have and the same width and offset as well.

This will at least give you pretty much the same ride and comfort as factory rims. I'm sure others will chime in if they can and I hope this helps.:)
