I want a seriously great alarm for my 1994. My budget is $750-1000 installed. Cellular notifications and all that. I don't know diddly about alarms so can someone recommend me a really solid option with modern features? It will be professionally installed but I don't want them to sell me on something, I'm seeking a recommend from those who know their Astros

IMO the best security system idea that I saw was an electronic transmission control module.
Not only did it allow you to control the shift points of your transmission, but it also had an electronic LOCK that could be controlled by your phone.
Some of these vans have passlock, which is great for brute force attacks or attacks that destroy the ignition, but IMO nothing will stop the vehicle from actually moving under any circumstances like the transmission kit.

Who's going to drop a transmission pan just to start your car? And, after they do so, the car won't have transmission fluid!
I think the cost was like $140, and only required that you do some wiring and drop your pan to get to it.
