my 93 ran great except it wanted to always over heat went and put new tstat in it still over heated every now and then but i noticed it had a LOT of iron deposits so i decide to run a flush through it ran great never over heated that time. ok had already installed a flush kit on my van after it was cool took and hooked the hose up and flushed it crudy orange crap (not dex cool)finally ran clear water after about 30 mins of the water running through then after that i filled with 50/50 mix didn't over heat then i noticed it started missing slightly then there was the white cloud coming from the back of the van ok shut it off cause i was pissed so i came back the next day i noticed water in the oil so i drained the coolant and then i went to bump the switch so i turn it over a few times to make sure i got all the water out of the cylinders but it act seized the starter just kept clicking and after bout the 6th time it turned loose and fired right up no out of the ordinary noise so i moved it about 300ft to get it under the carpot that was on the 15th and i got a newer battery (700 CCA) to put in it just for curisody and it was doing the clicking thing like it was a weak battery but i know its not and it turned over a time or two after i kept clicking the starter a few times then started clicking again. and what should i do

I'd take a look at the starting circuit. Corrosion, loose connection, bad ground, bad wire.

I seriously doubt that water in the oil has caused any damage.

I got a hole in the timing chain cover in an old toyota truck. I changed the oil and filter once and then drove it for another month and hauled nearly 4 tons of debris to the dump. Gave the truck to my kid, he replaced the cover and put another 20K on it. It had 223K on it when he sold it for $1,500 and it was still averaging 28 MPG.

When you state a while cloud and water in the oil..........well Jeff you know what's up with that.It over heating is another indication of a cracked head, blown head gasket, intake gasket leak, etc.Guess it time to tear it down and see really where the problem is.I know,I know-we(myself included) all hope for a simple fix,but sometimes that isn't in the cards so to speak.Sorry that happened to you bud.

BTW-I could advise you to do a compression check and to leak down the engine, but what is the point in that??.You have already decribed the conditions that indicate taking the engine apart.

i knew it had a blown head gasket (hopefully) but with it acting slighty seized sometimes i dont want to take that $46.00 head set and waste it

If all you're trying to do is move the van around in your yard for brief moments, then drain radiator, drain engine oil pan, leave radiator cap off, remove serpentine belt, and add 5qts of oil only! DO not fill radiator with anything. Do not put belt back on either. This is only so you don't have to push that van around your house. With water in the rad, belt on, failed heads or gaskets, when you crank the engine water blows into cylinder. Eventually you can bend the rods like a pretzel if the water touches them.

Jeff,
A blown head gasket surely would hydro a cylinder and act like a seized engine. To continue to try to get around it makes the possibility of further damage greater.
Pull your plugs & see which one(s) has gotten wet. Sounds like that flush removed whatever was sealing a head gasket. Possibly an intake gasket leaking into a port? A compression test would show if there was a hole somewhere in one of the cylinders.

Jeff, if there's any way you can get the van to my house today and if you have the gasket set. We can pull it apart in my garage and check for cracks and warpage and get her back together late night tonight as long as its not cracked or major warpage. If you have a garage and air tools I could come there to help you. Mainly with all the rain is why. Call if you want 423.504.8611.
