So I've just recently acquired a new toy to play with... Dad's old 95 safari work van. almost 200k on it.
With my boredom, what could I do to this antiquated vehicle engine wise? Without spending an arm and leg (ie not looking to drop an ls1 in it) NOS? Would that blow the engine? Not a big deal if it did but the idea of doing it sounds very fun indeed. Swap a 5spd? How difficult is that? Performance wise Im guessing this pretty much needs the same stuff as your normal 4.3 which I've owned a few of before (though mine were 96+ vortecs). Any ideas? Mod's? Help me out here. I'm up for anything...
Thanks!

Stock non vortec 4.3l high mileage if ya dont want to spend a whole lot a standard over hall with a good cam, free flowing exaust, and a chip up grade. Plain B a 350 truck motor swap. Both run about the same price if you do the work youre self.
Me I did the 350 after tosting my motor, and managed to have it running the second day "mostly luck". This all depends on what you really want out of your van.
