I was googling rocker panels for my van and ran across this site that carries the entire passenger side rocker, as well as the drivers front. Has anyone purchased anything from this site? Is there any place to find decent priced rocker panels aside from going to a body shop and trying to buy crash parts?

Hi Black89cs

Are those body parts certified? It has a keystone part number listing but I would ask to make sure. I only buy from Keystone or Cross Canada up here where I live. Their is just to many sub-standard body parts (fit and finish wise) being imported that aren't CAPA Certified. Just my :2:

Neither am I. I just have a couple of friends that deliver them, and they tell me how good (or bad) certain products are. I'm just passing it on.:)

So are there other sources for this stuff? Does anyone have links?

My van is seriously needing some tlc on the rockers and I may just replace them....if there is enough metal left to attach the rocker panels to...lol

I could use some new body parts too! My uncle actually sells and delivers Keystone parts in Iowa. Unless I'm mistaken I will have to ask him....pretty sure its Keystone.

My Van doors are good and sliding door is good, but my rockers are terrible. Are your guys Van's rockers this bad:

Really? I still think mine are bad.....

There are two first gen Astros within two blocks of me that are super clean. They are driven through the winter too, but they have those fiberglass running boards from the factory.

Mine are both that bad, only the drivers side rear doesn't go up that high. I notice the passenger side step is getting somewhat squishy so I'm thinking it's time to replace them asap. Heck if I wait long enough all I'll have to do is weld the new ones in.

My rocker under my sliding door are gone too. The actual door and everything is good. The underneath looks clean too. Its just the rocker area that have suffered. Oh well.......she is my daily driver. Wisconsin salt is a killer!

I hear ya. Most of the vans I've seen here in Ohio aren't too bad, but I was told that whoever put aluminum running boards on it ruined the van. I guess the mixture of steel and aluminum didn't get along too well. I just took them off because they were ugly and falling off. Speaking of this thread, I was curious to see if that site still carried those parts so I emailed them. Turns out it bounced so it doesn't look like they're still in business or they've changed their email address. Back to square one. :(

on my 1988 chevy van i shaped and molded sheet metal from a maytag dryer and welded it on as my rockers , looked like a brand new van

well if you ever need any sheet metal you know where to get it.
i dont have any metal tools either , i used a table saw table , hammer , and carpenters square and welder and then i had a air compressor and inline auto body sander for bodywork .
i used a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade to cut my metal but it would have been alot better (easier) if i had some metal cutting shears
table saw table comes in handy for making 90 degree bends
and as far as talent , the metal is free so you could practice with that , if you ruin it just grab another peice and start bending and pounding

Yeah, I told the said friend that I need to learn how to weld. Maybe I'll get the chance when we remove the roof rack and put the new tail lights in... or he'll tell me to get the F away if I get too clumsy.. lol
