Hi everyone---nice day here in sunny Spain.

I have a ¨96 2WD Safari (Explorer version) bought last year from Alicante. It is a Japanese import. :ugeek:

From startup , everything is OK until about 50mph when I get the odd engine "stumble" which feels like momentary fuel starvation. It then becomes intermittent throughout the drive and at tickover---and the Service engine soon comes on at the first stumble and stays on.

I changed the rotor and distrubitor cap, spark plugs and leads, fuel filter and PCV filter-----made no difference !
Sometimes the stumble can last 10 seconds or so and other times just a second, but you feel it. By booting the gas pedal and releasing, it seems to get things back to work until the next time.

Anbody got a similar experience or ideas how to fix ? :swerve:

regards

With the sensors removed milelige will go down. It should not cause any damage but also efects performence. I would put the ones you have back in untill the replacements are found.
