Hey Austin is there a way to change the amount needed to accumulate more.
Isnt 500 to get three plugs alot? Does anyone else agree with me?
There are 8 plugs, at this rate it'll take a million or more posts just to get to 7 plugs.
I would suggest maybe 100 to get 2 is fine the way it is, 300 to get 3, 500 you get 4, 700 you get 5, 1000 you get 6(these vans came with 6cyl. kinda goes with it.), 1300 you get 7, 1500 or 1600 then you get 8.
After 8 plugs maybe you get 4 wheels.
1800 posts gets you 1 tire and so on. 4 tires would be like the ultimate around like 5000 or more posts, will still take a long while to get there.

This may be true, but the new board has been up for most of the year, and there are only 1 or 2 of you who have gotten to 500 posts. And think about how much time you've had to spend on here to get to that.
I think the only ones who have made it are Mods. not regular posters like myself. This just seems a little unfair. Do we have to spend more time on the board, maybe stay home from work a few days to try and play catch up? I've noticed that there are a few people who have been here from the beginning of the new board, that still after all this time don't have 500 posts in.
I take it the post count for plugs started when the new board went up.
If not and they were carried over from the old board, then it really does take a long time to get to 500.
I know I probably don't have the right to question this, but I was just curious to see if anyone else felt the way I do.

Hey the length of the poll has been changed, to just 24 hours, can we at least let it run for a week, maybe 3 or 4 days, give people a chance to vote.

You have every right to question it. Astroaustin already stated that he would change it if that's what the majority wants. We'll just keep this thread on the top of this forum so we can get as many votes as possible.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me. It was fun getting the 2nd plug, but the novelty wore off quickly. Someone who posts a bunch of "me too!" or LOL!" posts will get there before someone who only posts when he has something important to say (It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt).

I'm just glad this board exists!

I'm with Big_kid: the existance of the board is the most awesome thing for me. It has helped me solve/learn many things.
Oh, and gives me a reason to take breaks at work. I mainly look into 4 forums, and this one serves what I believe to be the purpose of a forum, the best.
But you do have the right to ask.
To me it's like kart racing, I do it to releve stress, as a hobby, and not for the trophy...although when I see that we will have a trophy girl, for some reason I get extra energy from who knows where!! :layrubber: and really try to win!!

The most important thing here as already mentioned is the boards existence. With that being said, I think if we can reduce the amount of of posts required to achieve each spark plug and maybe add "Platinum Plugs" for the top posters would make things more fun and a desire to interact more with each other. Maybe I'm off base here, but I like the plug system and the other emblems you get when you achieve something. Gives a sense of purpose to the site. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

AstroAustin: Just wanted to say thanks for the added "Astro/Safari Pioneer" sign as well AA, I didn't realize I had that until a couple of days ago.
