the difference in the spindles is the ball joint taper bore. one is like a caprice wagon and one is like a 1500. cant remember which is which. there are lift spindles for the 1500 and lift spindles for the donk kits for huge rims. u could change balljoints and re work the taper bore for s10 or 1500 but you lose bolt pattern with s10 spindles which have the wrong upper balljoint taper bore. if i remember correctly. if............. jus go to overlandvans.com :screaming:

Why lift spindles?
They only lift 2" you can achieve the same result with a set of lift blocks.

With lift blocks, the whole front sub-frame is still at stock height, which if you go off road you have no additional clearance. With a lift spindle, you raise the whole front end, giving you more clearance. Either way will give you a higher van body, but the spindles will give you more ground clearance.

Spindles are about 5 times more expensive.

You do have a good point though, however the ground clearance is still limited by the rear axle.

the OLV lift spindles are 4" and add clearance you gain with tires. only part i dont like is where you have to buy 1500 parts for the spindle, but, you get to keep the lug pattern. must be some beefy stuff, i hope....
