First off my apologies if I’m posting this in the wrong place. Not sure how to navigate the site and admittedly have memory loss. I’ll only post it here in hopes the administrators will correct it and place in the appropriate category if needed. Again, my apologies.
I replaced the steering wheel pump and it sounded better. A few weeks in it started squealing again. I asked mechanic to check belt and check line for air. He said both were fine. Any suggestions? Thank you

If it is the belt squealing over the pully, the tensioner on the belt may be going soft if you have one, or you need to tighten manually.
I have found commonly the idler pulley likes to squeak as it's going, but that's just a bearing in that pulley wearing out. I don't know exactly what you are hearing.
Air in steering lines tends to bleed itself out at the reservoir.

Thank you very much for your response. It’s greatly appreciated. I’ll take a look at that. That makes sense.

If it is the belt, replace it. Dressings etc are a temporary fix that don't last long. My neighbor showed me a cheat once- a touch of wax from a wax toilet gasket will quiet things up for a short while.
