So, it appears my 89 Astro cargo came with a 205/75-15 tire. Right now I;m still going to use the wheels I have, which are 15x8. Van is lowered with spindles and maybe springs but I'm not sure about that part. I want something a little wider but don't want to go much lower than the stock size since it screws with the factory geometry. I had different sizes on it previously. I think I had 205/60-15s on the front and something taller on the rear for a rake. I think I want the same size all around, for now ( Not sure how the new motor setup will act with the current/stock gearing ) Just want to get it back on the road. i guess my question is what are others doing along those lines? At some point I want to go to a 16 inch rim and tire ( plus one ) but now, I just need to get it on the ground rolling. Suggestions? I have Boyds 15x8 directionals which is what I was running when it died. I also have a set of 8x15 stock truck rally wheels and moon discs that I'd reall like to try, but just a bare rim on the front seems way too close. Not sure what the back spacing is on either set, but I'd guess its around 4 inches? I've moved and the van is still in storage and I need to get it to it's new home before it gets too cold outside.

Call a tire place such as Goodyear or any local tire store and ask them what you can use that is really close to the stock tire height but in 60 series tire. I had a truck I wanted to stay with the dame height tires, but I wanted 70s in the front and 60s in the rear because of the anti lock brakes, and this is how I did it. The truck was a joy to drive like that too.

I ran 245/60/15 on ours once. Liked the look but not as many options anymore vs 225/70/15 I've used since. Once tires come off van they usually go to a car-hauler trailer and the 225's work much better than the 245's for that also.

I keep looking at the 2 pics...

And I can not find 1 difference, much less the 10 that we are usually asked to locate and point out.
