Just curious if anyone has spent some beans on a sunroof? I know there are some sliding ragtops out there, but I have just been thinking about getting one, it's just to bad the price for it installed is crazy. I thought the panoramic one by webasto would be amazing, but I heard prices of around $1700 or so installed. Cough Cough, here's some pics:

Hollandia 524 Grandview Panoramic Sunroof
Features include:
2 large glass panels - 4.5 square feet of glass!
4 individual sunshades - total control for all passengers.
One Huge Opening - more fresh air and more light.
Very clean interior finish - nice inside and out.
Incredible view from front AND REAR SEATS!

I have been doing some research for the past few years on putting a sunroof in my 98 safari. What i want is a unit that slides into the headliner and also pops up about an inch. I dont want one that pops up and slides back on the roof. To do it the way i want i believe you have to do a weld in unit as i dont know of anyone who makes one that isnt. I cut the whole roof off an early 90's 4 runner and trimmed it down to size. Great glass dimensions. The only thing is that it doesnt pop up, i thought they all did but they dont. i think the new 4 runners pop up and slide into the headliner so i might go that route, not too sure yet. not too many people have done this but goodluck with it, i used to have a t-top vette and missed it so i thought why not put a sunroof in the van

I know what you mean, I went from my first car being a convertible mustang, to a saleen mustang that I added a electric sunroof that slid on the outside since a inside one wouldnt fit. I just think in the stro you have so much room, it would be awesome to go panoramic since you can (minus the cost). The aftermarket stuff worked great, never had a problem for 6 years.

Oh P.S. I always joked with my buddy about doing a targa top in the van. How cool would that be? :afro:
