For stubborn tar, a good OTC product is Goo Gone. But I generally use 3M adhesive remover

Naptha.

Dissolves goo. Doesn't harm any finish I've ever tried it on,
including delicate instrument finishes like french polish.

Antique dealers use it on books to remove price tags
without harming the paper/leather/fabric underneath.

Try this home trick.
Distilled white vinegar and #0000 steel wool
If nothing, try a chemical cleaner wax with a MicroFiber Towel

Foamy glass cleaner and 0000 steel wool works good too
