Could be bad bearings, rust on the rotor, rock in rotor fins, warped rotor. Pull the wheel and spin it by hand, see if you can hear it.

My local JY has several, as I'm sure most do.
Web JY search www.car-part.com

Hello,

I had the same ticking sound from teh front LHS of my Astro vehicle also and after a few months figured out that it's the hub caps. indeed, some hub caps when badly placed rub metal to metal and cause a ticking sound.

I suggest you remove them and see if the sound goes away.
