I hear a rub on acceleration from a stop but that's it.
Turns out I just had a bit of mudflap area that had at somepoint torn and folded down and rubbed the tire, I just cut that bit off and No more rub so I guess this size tire fits just fine on a stock height 97 AWD. :blah:

My 1992 GMC Safari van just got Solarus Starfire 205/75/15 tires all the way around. I have this 18+ years, and like the way these tires feel. The van still runs great.
18+ years...I'm guessing you and your van have a story or two that you could share with us....?
Glad to hear that it's still running well, how many miles on it now?
The new rubber looks good, by the way

It has 167,000 miles on it. It was originally a Zee Medical supply van. When the lease was up with Zee Medical, a lady bought it for her painting business. She only hauled quart cans of paint for smaller detail painting for advertising and what-not.
I bought it way back as a hauler in case my Ducati broke down. I built that roof rack to support 2 long/wide pieces of wood for a ramp to get the bike in. Rather than to go into detail about everything I did to retrieve the Ducati....it never broke down in the 10 years I rode it.
We now keep our Cyclocross bikes in the back for the past 8 years. So the bikes are in there 365 days a year. Hop in the van and go to your favorite Rail/Trail.
I considered getting rid of it when they had cash for clunkers, as my Safari van was eligible for $4,500. Well, the van is still running strong after that stimulus program.

I need to trim my wheel wells to accommodate 30.6" (265/70-R16) tires on my 2003 AWD Astro. I am using a 2" body lift plus torsion bar crank (front) and add-a-leaf (back). The instructions provided by Journeys Off Road are good, but not quite detailed enough for trimming of the rear side of the front fender. I am hoping someone has video footage of this operation before I cut into my mint '03...please.

I have basically the same lift with the same size tire 255/75r17, but about the same diameter. For the rear of the front tires I basically just laid the pinch seam over to clear.

Not the best angle, sorry.
