I might go look at a garage to rent today, and I'm trying to make sure my van will fit without having to get my measuring tape. The garage door is 86". According to Wikipedia, the width of a '96 Astro is 77". Does that include the (monster) mirrors? I would fold in the mirrors to fit, if necessary, but I'm trying to get a better idea of the squeeze I'm looking at before I set up a time to look.

In my current garage, I have to fold in my mirrors and exit through the back door!

I believe the measurement you mention does NOT include the mirrors.I would suggest using your tape measure to make sure of the actual width with the mirrors and with them folded in.
