Transfer case with a .8 to 1 ratio?

Does anyone make a transfer case with a .8 to 1 ratio instead of a 1:1? So that if I had 4.11's in the RE, highway driving would give me a 3.2 RE and better mpg....and then when low was engaged, I would have some pretty intense crawling.

Pretty much anything that fits will be 1:1 in 2WD/4HI and 2.72:1 in 4LO. I don't know of any transfer case that offers less than 1:1 -- but doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

People make 4-speed transfer -- Atlas comes to mind -- but again -- the highest gear is 1:1 -- and then they get all the way down to like 5.5:1 or so -- which is reserved for all but the most intense rock crawlers.

Gear Vendors makes a overdrive unit, very pricy but stands up to high hp and abuse GM 4/5/6-Spd Auto - Gearvendors
1:1 is very important for longevity and practicality when cruising.
The correct solution is to have the differential gearing that suits your needs.
4-Low will give you ALL the extra torque you could ever need in that application

Thanks! I was hoping to do 4.11's in the pumpkins and use the transfer case .85 (or an overdrive) to give me high mpg on the freeway so that the lo in the TC would work harder with the 4.11
You'll have plenty of torque in 4LO regardless of your gearing...

And you won't really need an overdrive if you're going with 4.11 -- bigger tires will bring your effective ratio back down towards 3.73 -- or maybe a bit lower -- which is a good power point for these engines anyways.
