I got a safari van that i want to tune up.

i've had older astro vans that i've worked on but am having trouble with this one.

i know i have to get to some plugs through the wheel wells but how do i get that wheel well shield out of there. i got the haynes book but its useless.

anyone out there give me a tip?

The rubber shields are held in place with plastic "christmas tree" retainers. They are supposed to just pry out of there, but they will probably just break off. New ones are available at your local parts store for about 35 cents each.

get you a door panel removal tool to get the plastic dammit pins out, jack up and support the van and take off front tires. 24 inch extension helps greatly in removing plugs, a thread chaser helps alot in cleaning the threads before putting in new plugs
