I'm having a Devil of a time troubleshooting my non functioning rear AC unit on my 92 Astro. I've got a nice cool front AC system, I get a good temp drop between the high and low side going into the rear unit. The rear blower comes on and changes speeds just fine as well. But I get neither a strong blow or cold air coming from the outlet on the unit itself much less at the overhead vents.

Anyone have any suggestions before I disassemble the rear unit.

Id follow the line out runing my hands down them to be sure that I dont have a restriction before the rear core box causing the line to be chilled at the wrong spot. Its not oncommon for a dented line to cause a restiction that will mimic the ac cores. Hope this helps.

OK I've figured out part of my problem. It turned out that the line going to the vacuum resvior was completely trashed. I didn't have any line handy so I just bypassed the thing. What was happening was the rear heater wasn't getting the coolant flow shut off. While my rear AC isn't exactly cold it's now working enough to really help lower the in cabin temp.
