Hello all. I'm glad to announce dropping my cash pit for a REAL van.

My ford windstar badly deserves being hauled away by the wrecker after the second headgasket and upper port seals failing. Not to mention the disco effect my dashboard lights exhibit and fragile front suspension and steering breaking AGAIN. Did I mention my transmission was slipping?

And all I ever did was transport me and my small children. :banghead:

A friend of mine has been driving Astros for years and recommends nothing else. So I bought his and he moved up to an Express.

I feel better already!

I hope to learn a lot since I'm a DIYer and like to understand every aspect of my vehicle (and I'm seeking therapy to get over the pain from the windstar) as well as share some stories with you all.

Welcome aboard!
I flat out traded a rusted out '85 F150 supercab long bed for my Astro. Don't get me wrong though, I'd JUST gone through and replaced the engine, brakes, and God only knows what else I'd worked on. I didn't really want a Ford in the first place, but it was the only thing in the budget at the time. I'm just glad to be back from the dark side.

Welcome to the light!
