Can anyone tell what if anything can be eliminated from the vacuum system on an 89 astro lt, I am just trying to eliminate anything that doesn't need to be there. How many vacuum lines run to the heater unit, my vents are not shifting and I can hear a vacuum leak under the dash.

Cruise control can be eliminated if non functional the rest except the heater control and transfer case are emission related or brake related. How many to the heater usually just one there may be quite a few coming out of the control though.
