hey guys! i have a 99 safari lowered with bellteck spindles and rear flip kit. I also installed waht i thought were a brand new set of 4 bilstein heavy duty shocks. anyways, htrears are now banging over every little bump on the road!! do i need lowering shcks to go with the flip kit or can i buy the same ones?

I had installed Doestch-Tech shocks on all four corners when I lowered my van about 3 years ago, handles great and rides well.
They had/have a lifetime warranty on them, don't know if that's still available.
Also very reasonably priced at about 40-50 each, available from there web site.

If cost is an issue, go to the wrecker and pull the front shocks from a '96 up 4x4 Blazer.
You have to drill a new mounting hole about 2 inches back on the RR, but other than that they fit and work great!

The right and left shocks are not mounted evenly, with the right one being farther away.(factory wisdom I guess)

Well, you know, they tried to control pinion angle deflection. Its funny how you go thru the rear shocks quicker with that setup. Nothing a set of traction bars wouldn't cure.
