Wheel Cloud Sky Tire Vehicle
What is most likely wrong with the suspension in this van? It is a 1995, only (supposedly) 120K miles, still all stock, but it seems to me that the nose is dipping a little too low. Does it likely need a new torsion bar? The view from the front shows left and right are equal - the vehicle is level from left to right. Or is this normal? My vans have never been so uneven, from front to back.

if it is an AWD you may be able to adjust the torsion bars. There is an adjusting screw on a short arm at the rearward end of the torsion bar. jack up the body to relieve tension and turn the screw to adjust height. Check height after some adjustment, repeat as necessary. If you find you need to adjust to an extreme end of the screw thread, you will probably need new torsion bars. a significant height change will likely require a front end alignment.

looks pretty normal to me but the "normal" look on a stock van that old is with a pretty tired suspension. I gained 3 inches on one of my vans just putting in replacement new springs

From the tiny picture it looks normal to me, would have to see it parked on a flat hard space and different angles to really tell, maybe take some measurements.

while i was doing my radiator here, i've been glancing at current threads. opening your pic in a new tab gave me full size...yes your wheels and wheelwells look level in the pic, but you're not square on broadside, the perspective makes it look like you have a LOT of rake.

anyways, here's my '95. i purposely went for OE, and studied the original Dealer Kits that GM Heritage Center used to have available.
it might look a little up-there, but it's within 1/2" of original bumper height, all around, no lie.

Thank you! I accepted your opinions, but had to reject the van for other reasons....on to the next one!
