the guy at the checker zone is so dumb unless i know exactly what i am looking for he cant find it. this goes in the distributor. it is on the back side of the dist. the wires plug into it. can you test it. i think this is more likely to go bad than the coil. i was at sonic trying to get a drink and it died in line and wont start again. please help

Ignition Control Module or is it Distributor Control Module?????? :confused:

thats a ignition module. auto zone can test them and you have to buy the paste seperate the new one dont have none with it and the module you have is already been replaced sometime in the past cause its a wells and not gm

that was the problem. i switched it with one on the shelf for the small block. the plugs and bolt holes lined up so i figured might as well. any long term affects either pos or neg from not having the v-sux one in there??

I wouldn't recommend using thermal paste for PC's. It's used to distribute the heat from the CPU to the heatsink. It has no electrical qualities. Such as permitting electricity to pass through it. You would do more harm than good putting it on the module.

v-sux is not the standard 8 that i love. kinda a joke between my friends. its more funny when talking about a mustang or berlinetta camaro
