I have a question, since I'm thinking of buying a rebuilt TBI unit from Ebay. What was the last year GM put TBIs in Astro vans?

Also, from the ebay listings, it appears there are some differences year to year, especially the shape of the electrical plugs. What years are compatible with our 1991 Astro with a V-6?

Thanks!

I've heard of TBI being used as late as 1995 in the trucks, and have heard about overlap between the CPI and TBI engines. This would lead me to believe that 1995 was the last year. I believe that 94-95 were different, however if the TPS uses the large oval 3 pin connector and not the round one that's about 3/8 diameter you should be good to go. Also something to ask is if the one you get has a return spring on the TBI unit or if it's external. I don't know if my 89 had someone add them because the spring broke, but it didn't have a return spring on the TBI but rather one that was connected to the intake.
