This is my 95 Astro I just picked up. I'll be looking for some pointers on this one as I am new to this world. I've been watching ths forum and it seems I might be able to get some good help here. So here it is. 95 AWD LT, the way you see it in the pic is the way I bought it last week for $250. 7k on a new tranny, the whole steering and front susp is all new/rebuilt, $500 remote starter, 1 owner, ect... Needs a new motor. How hard are these to put in? I'm new to the Astro world but not to cars in general. For now I just want to get it running again with another 4.3. Any help would be great.

Believe me I've thought about it, and it's still not outta the question but currently I've got another project going (an 87 Monte LS) so I'm just trying to get my van back to dependable. In the future I'd like to see about (if it's possible) putting the newer style dash and interior in it, figureing out where to get a phantom grill, the black housing blue halo headlights with matching parks and tails and a rear roll pan just to start things off with a nice set of big wheels, maybe 20's.

Welcome!

As far as the engine swap, it's not difficult once you pull the body off of the frame.(allthough that may be a little daunting...)
