I log in, start a thread, OR make a post or 2 in an existing thread, but when I look at the NEW POSTS page...
- they are not there. Reloading or resetting the page does no good.

I have to LOG OUT to see any new post that I have made.

AND...

When I scroll down and hit PREVIEW, It does NOT show me the PREVIEW. It just stays right where it was...

ps: idiocy, insanity and "it's always been done that way..." seems to be the 'lay o' the land' ".
... Canadians take long walks, you know.

Just a shot, but if you post in a thread, then go to New, you've already seen the updated thread, thus you wouldn't see it.

May be time to clear browser cache, try doing it in Incognito Mode if you're using Chrome, or InPrivate in Edge.

Click "POPULAR" to find it.
New Posts only show new posts you haven't seen yet, not ones you just posted in.
It also depends on how you have configured the filters

NEW only shows content that is new to you. If you just posted, its not considered new. If you want the NEW page to always display unread and read content, change this filter:

Are you looking at the site on your phone or tablet?
I'm not seeing the "Preview" option on my computer, but when I mouse over the post title it previews the post text so I can read it w/o actually opening the post.

Preview button is under the "write your reply" window.. right next to the "post reply" button.
It's function is solely related to seeing how your post will look, while you are constructing it (photos, links, etc)

Certainly things look different on phone vs computer

I use a 15" Thinkpad, so it is a Laptop.

On another 'thing'... "Threads in General", have you ever forgotten the OP's Original Question...
- and have to scroll all the way back to the top of the page ? ( it does show in my URL addy block )

I don't like the ads, but I can get rid of them with a blocker and an extra click.
I don't like that I can't see what kind of vans people are driving.
I don't like that signatures don't display fully or correctly by default.
I do like how easy it is to post (drag & drop) photos on this new site.
Once I configured 2 filters, I was able to get "new posts" to show how I like.

Yeah, to be honest the forum functionality is fine, but to be more specific I really miss the chat plugin that was right there on the home page of the old forum. Great for popping in and catching rando convos lol

More than fine, I'd say it's great, as good as any forum. You can also copy & paste images. Right click an image, online image, and click Copy image. Makes it super easy to share an online pic in a thread. Maybe the old forum did that too, don't recall honestly. I was fairly new and pretty much just recall the chat feature.

That was something I've seen on no other forum I've been a member of.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
