Just curious, I removed the glove box thing and the light bulb with it, there is the light bulb wiring and another random wiring hanging down, with female connectors on them. Is it possible these are 12v and would work for a CB radio? I have one but I'm not sure what to connect it to, and don't want to blow it up. I know directly to the battery is the best option for interference, but I have little motivation. However, if these plugs are 12v DC I was wondering if it would work. If not I'll take it to a radio shop or something.

Thanks for answering a noob question

A normal CB only draws a no.more than a couple of amps, even when transmitting.
Directly connecting to the lighter socket wiring ( hard wire those connections, for reliability, instead of plugging into it) will not overload that circuit.

Yes, 12v.
What Rod said, probably ~2amps max.
You already know that directly to the battery is the best to reduce interference. If you are planning on moving up to amateur radio or multiple radios in the future I would 100% plan on a heavier wire directly to the battery for future expansion.

Just make sure you tune your antenna properly before transmitting, that is the most important step.
