I have 3 options for a motor. I have a 97 awd, and the motor is out of it. So im gonna swap and not go traditional. My three canidates are 96 cummins 4bt, or 88 general motors 6.2 non egr, or a 95 lt1 from a cop car, and I have the car. So which one to use? Any suggestions? Im leaning towards the 4bt, good power and great economy, and I dont know of another one like it. Thanks for your thoughts!.

The LT-1 would be easiest tbh, but I'd do the 4BT if I was into clankers. What transmissions do you have for everything. This is the other half the equation IMO, b/c a PITA part of the swap is getting the powertrain to match the motor; I'd have carbed V8 in mine by now if I didn't have to worry about the stupid TV cable and the Edelbrock. I may as well go to the extra expense of keeping EFI at that point because it's minimal.
