I found and installed a pair of classic wide window visors on my safari van doors.

Here is the model number of the visors
Westin 72-38464

These were not very hard to install at all, I just took isopropyl alcohol and cleaned all the surfaces of where the mounting tape sticks to and then I heated the metal and also the visors a little with a heat gun to get good adhesion and to persuade the visors to fit better. They're not perfect but I still think they look damn good

As you can see in the pic you can in most circumstances have the windows cracked about 3 inches and a light rain wont get in. This will be very handy for camping this summer, especially when I put a bug netting over the windows to keep mosquitoes out.

The reason I really like these extra wide ones is that they do a good job blocking a lot of the sun when it's a the angle in the sky where it really seems to be cooking you. I know I got interior visors but all they seem to do is block more visibility than sunlight. I also plan on tinting the windows some too in the future but window tint is much more expensive than the $70~ish that you can find these for.

They also block the side mirrors, you can see through them of course but I'm not sure how legal it is, in my area the cops arent pulling people over for things like that. It is nice that these cover the mirrors though because now theres no headlight glare from cars behind me at night 👍

The mirrors can also still fold in and with plenty of gap between them and the visors

Also in this picture you might be able to see a small issue with the visors in the area where they contact the mirror base. The plastic is either formed or warped a little away from the mirror base, their is a noticeable gap and there is no mounting tape in this area just a thin foam pad. Its somewhat necessary so you can remove the mirror without having to remove the visor or surgically separate the adhesive from the mirror base.
Still though after trying to flatten it with heat and gentle pressure I've had no luck. Theres no whistling or wind noise through this gap but I might still put some kind of pad or gasket of some sort to make the gap look pretty

Onto some of the cons, these look great until you get right up on them and then you can start to notice some of the defects like that mirror area gap. Most of the gentle warps and weirdness I got out with the heat gun, areas where there is a crease or curve in the body i blasted the visor with heat and pressed it into that shape so it forms a better bond and seam.

The real weirdness of these are the little dimples that I'd have to guess are from the forming process? Maybe mine are the only ones that have it idk? Like I said it's not noticable until you're like 3 feet away and it doesn't bother me but I know it would bother some people so I had to mention it. I'll actually get another pair or 2 of these to have as backups incase they discontinue them and I break one and need a replacement. I'll also check if they have the dimple issue like mine.

Bottom line is I absolutely love these, they look cool, they work great, they're decent priced and unique.

It's also worth mentioning that yes they deflect the wind, greatly. I can be driving 55mph and roll the windows all the way down and not get blasted with air. Air still flows into the cabin but it's just farther back, like behind the seats basically. Also they dont interfere with drive through capability. I'm a 5'11" tall man and hanging my arm out the window I still have a good 6 inches from where my hand ends and the visor begins. I can still easily go to the atm and grab food from drive through windows. Astro door windows are huge, almost as big as modern pickup truck windows so I am not concerned at all about blocking a little bit of window.

I know some people have sought out the big/wide model and appreciate the post.
Just adding the more discrete option here as well.
AVS 192006 is the in-channel ventshade preferred by most.
They've been sold out off & on since the supply chain delays started.
As a result the prices have been higher than normal (when you could find them.)
Recently they popped up for only $31ish on my eBay alerts (I scored a set.)
That price only lasted a day & before going way up.
Amazon's had them for 40 some odd and directly from AVS is comparable.
AVS does NOT charge tax when you order from them & has free shipping.
So you have to figure that in when seeing prices elsewhere & they've a military discount too.
I think they may have a large sized model but I do know they have the hood protector.

I do like AVS products for the most part but I couldn't find a wide AVS aerovisors, the narrow ones look cool too but I've put the narrow ones on most of my vehicles and friends vehicles, this time I wanted to go for the big boys!

I almost bought an Astro that'd been an armored car years ago.
I'd have put this kind of visors on it, it was X-tra tough looking

Quick update that I forgot about. About a month after I installed these the bottom on the drivers side started to peel up, I just recently got some new tape, carefully peeled the old off and re stuck it and blasted it with the heat gun to make sure the plastic lays flat. I accidentally burnt the plastic a little, oops. It's not that noticable at least.
I've seen similar aerovisors on japanese astro Van's and they tend to run screws through them and finish it off with screw caps, not a bad look really, I'll consider it if I have to stick them on again or replace them.
Took it offroad and they got scratched up but I knew that was going to happen lol
