Anyone had this one before???
At random, when I move the turn signal arm to turn right, the wipers go off. It does not happen every time. And sometimes when I hit a bump on the road they also go off. (I just tell the kids that it's the rain sensor  ) Moving the arm to a left turn has never made them go off.
So far I have changed the turn signal arm and the windshield wiper module. My van is an 89 model.
It's funny that sometimes I delay making a right hand turn just because it'll go off.... or maybe my van should run NASCAR since they just turn left!!
Any  s??

I had the same issue until I changed the column. never happened again after. I had to replace the column as the tilt was worn out and dangerous.

Robert,
what kind of work does it take to change the column? I think you have a point and maybe that's where my problem is. I'm gonna start searching for a steering column. Not to long ago, the piece that mounts on the column and moves the needle that marks the gears P R N D O 2 1 came loose because the ears that hold it in place broke. And I think that you have to take off the column to replace it. So I had it comming. Thanks for the advise.

The column is a very easy swap, 4 bolts in the floor, 1 bolt/pin in steering shaft, 1 hair clip for shifter, unplug all wireing, 2 bolts under dash, and that is it. The whole job takes less than an hour in my van. Remember to steer the wheels straight ahead for easier line up of the steering shaft. If you have a drivers side airbag then make sure you disconect the battery first. Also set the park brake or block the wheels just incase you pull out of park while disconecting linkage.

Hope this helps
