Ok, I know it's a relatively common issue. But I FINALLY got my Service AWD light to go off, and I have AWD back! Woo-Hoo!

R&R the Encoder motor, just like in the video, and my AWD is WORKING! SO STUMPED!!

So many of us just switch to manual 4x4. I elected to keep my AWD partly because it works well. I do have a NP233C just in case I change my mind. It’s not so tough to change the encoder motor. Great video thank’s.

Super easy to swap the encoder motor. Though sometimes it can be a bit of work to get that front driveshaft out.
Glad to hear that you got it fixed!

If your primary usage is snow, then the AWD transfer case is the way to go.
