I need a little heip with my REAR end

I have a 2005 :chevy: Astro, And am wanting to add a locker and lower gears :layrubber: , But I am not sure witch rear end it has or the axle splines :shrug: , if anyone has any info on this please let me know, and thanks for any help,Kenneth

Ken,

Do you have a AWD or RWD??.If it is a AWD,you have to change both diff's gears.The thing you want to look for in the pick and pull yards is the RPO code that is on the passenger pillar.You looking for a G80 code there which is a Chevy stock posi.I would need to know what you want to do with the van to advise you which gear ratio to go with.Either way,a tranny cooler is really needed.

It is RWD,the rear gear is going to be somewhere between 4.10 & 4.56 and I'm wanting to go with a Detroit Locker,as far as the van :layrubber: cruiser/street rod, I've been surching it on the net and I think the rear is a GM 7.6, 28 spline, 10 bolt. Yucon gears has a 4.30 gear it is a little high, so it will be a 4.10 or 4.56 they are much cheaper,But if any of this info is wrong please let me know, :ty: Kenneth
