Rear Wheel Bearings Removal/Install

Rear Wheel Bearings Removal/Install

Postby romeroom [OP] » September 17th 2009, 6:45am

Looks like I'm going to have to replace the rear wheel bearings on my AWD '95 Astro.

Do any of you that have done this job have any tips? (links to pictures would be great). Some of the searching on this forum left me with more questions than answers.

Also, are there some specialty tools I absolutely need for this job?

Thanks.

Hi romeroom

It's a straight foward job rr. You will need an axle bearing puller/installer and an axle seal remover. You should be able to rent those locally I would imagine (local parts store).

If you have anymore questions just fire away, and I'm sure myself or others will do their best to help.:)
