Just got out of the shower - of Auto Trak II fluid

Just got out of the shower - of Auto Trak II fluid

Postby Hangard [OP] » January 25th 2010, 8:57pm

Just changing the fluid in my AWD transfer case. When loosening the drain plug it started to drip, no worries, its warm just drove 40 miles.

Well, I got a shower of fluid and some in the drain pan.

Why the pressure behind the fluid?

Is the vent plugged? Where is the vent? How do I get this smell out of my nose?

The fluid was about 9,000 miles old. Changed as I just put on 4 new tires of exact size and want to start fresh. Was home long enough to get out the tools and pan.

He probably just now got the last of it out of his hair.

I got some gear lube in my hair/beard a week ago pulling a power divider and it's still not all out. The wife thought one of the dogs had an accident behind the piano, I had to turn myself in to save the dogs.
