A differential is a device employing gears capable of transmitting torque and rotation through shafts. Essentially the differential allows each of the driving wheels to rotate at different speeds in the rear axle.

Rear Axle messurement

Does anyone happen to know what the diameter of the rear axle's are?

I'm pretty sure they are 3.5".

2 5/8 for a stock set of tubes, a lot of aftermarket tubes are 3" (9 inch, etc) while stock 9 inch tubes are 3 1/8 roughly.
