what car polish best for long salt & dirt protection?

This is the best, once you seal with it you won't need to wax! Any stuff made by Chemical Guys is great. The guys here that detail cars for shows all use their stuff.

I saw your post and i was right on it. If any body knew it had to be you. As much slop as you guys drive in most of the year. Inquiring minds want to know.

JC, are these guys going to charge me 'Alaska's a foreign country we ship UPS overnight' shipping charges? Is it ever for sale in shops?

It was mentioned on here a while back, and I was going to order it when a newcomer to Juneau started a car detailing company and was willing to sell it in order to cut his costs on orders, so he sold me a bottle for a couple of bucks above the list price. It really does make it easier to wash off the damned salt brine that Alaska DOT has started using again.

When I was driving cab, I had the DOT commissioner as a passenger. He told me that they went from urea to salt to save money ( a whole $20k per year for SE Alaska!). I told him that the savings to DOT was trivial but they were costing car owners a hell of a lot, plus the fact that salt brine actually makes driving worse at around 20 degF. They seem to think that sand and pea gravel are made of gold or something.
