Heated mirrors?

Heated mirrors?

Postby andymnelson [OP] » February 17th 2011, 8:37pm

This is my first vehicle without heated mirrors, and I hate it! I can't find a factory option...or aftermarket option for that matter. I searched the forum and came up empty handed. Has anyone been successful at adopting another mirror or finding one made for our vans???

This company, http://www.muthco.com/ , has made a set that fits out vans. I found a set for sale here, on as.com. They are available with or without the heaters. The only thing is that they also come with the LEDs built into the mirrors as well. They are made by a company in South Calif. with all USA parts.

http://www.autoanything.com/mirrors/61A2918A0A0.aspx These people sell the mirrors, just enter your vehicle and that's all there is. Boy do they work well.

Hope this helps, Keith

Thanks Keith, that is helpful.

I don't see our vans listed on either page, but it appears that their kits are $270-$500. Ouch. I bought 2 OEM replacement mirrors from CertiFit for my Yukon (power mirrors with puddle light and heated) for $68...for the pair! I'd love to come up with something cheap like that. I guess I can keep scraping my mirrors...

I have been looking for the right link and found them. The Autoanything dot com has two links for heated mirrors.

http://www.autoanything.com/mirrors/61A ... 34570.aspx Cal-Vu Sport Mirrors

http://www.autoanything.com/mirrors/61A ... 34570.aspx Street Scene Signal Mirrors

Seems like the Muth company was the supplier of the glass and Street Scene was the company that put them together.

They are a little pricey, but when it comes to comfort, who is to say. You may be able to find a set from a local junk yard, or on CL. Good luck with your search,

Keith
