What do you think ?

What do you think ?

Postby G0HWC [OP] » September 25th 2011, 4:53pm

Hi all,
I am thinking of having the bottom half of my van sprayed but not a clue what colour
would match with the rest of it?

Your thoughts please ?

Keep it just as it is. Bring the van color onto the rims, a little bit. Bring the exterior color to the interior, but don't go overboard.

Ya, maybe a little burgundy in the wheels. How about painting the grille black...that looks so cool on these vans.

I like the idea of leaving it as-is. I'd remove all of the stripes except for the large middle one (what is it with conversion companies and pinstriping?), then paint the lip of the wheels burgandy to match the van, leaving the interior of the wheels alone.

Paint the grille black

leaving it as-is. just remove all of the stripes except for the large middle one , maybe change color of the stripe ,,,maybe gold or some other complimentary color

paint the center hub of the wheels either the same as the body , or black or gold or another complimentary color

Pewter, but only about 3 or 4 inches up from the bottom

I would leave it alone your paint is in too good of shape to butcher it, but if you must i would remove the thin pin striping and paint the thick one champagne along with the center of the wheels as well, and then paint the lip of the wheels to match the body, but thats just me.
