Rear door restraint part

Rear door restraint part

Postby kevnchris [OP] » July 31st 2008, 4:52am

We just got a used 2002 Safari. One of the rear doors is missing the part that stops the door from swinging out past 90 degrees open and we'd like to get a replacement - what is this part called so I know what to look for? The manual refers to it as a "check assembly" and describes how to remove it to open the rear doors past 90 degrees but Googling for that description doesn't find anything similar.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Pull the door panel. It might be laying inside the door.
