Show me your 2nd Gen Bumper covers

Show me your 2nd Gen Bumper covers

Postby MI_Ghost [OP] » January 30th 2018, 4:43am

Trying to decide what I am going to do with the bumpers.
Almost every aftermarket cover has some little stupid detail that just kills the look for me.
If you have or know of a conversion van with custom bumper covers or,
If you have changed out your 2nd Gen bumper covers.
Please post some pics.

Please include manufacture and part number if you can.

That's a good looking bumper, though it wouldn't last long with my driving style ;)

It looks lower than it actually is. It will go over parking lot stops without scraping. There are three stainless screened covered air ducts in the lower half of the cover I painted them black so they don't show up very well in the picture. They're functional and help with air flow for the radiator and brakes and reduce air pressure against the cover.

On your lifted AWD they look good.
On a lowered RWD they're a bit out of place. Kinda like a barge bumper!

Cougar,
That looks like the Sarona GMC cover. Looks good. Thanks for the pic.

I've got a bit of a Frankenbumper, but I love the way it looks. It's a Jeep bumper made by Warrior products. I had mounted a Jeep stock bumper and then found this. With some mods to have the Jeep subbumper mounted to the frame and then this is mounted to the subbumper. I also didn't want to get relocation brackets so fashioned a grill extension to fill in the gap between the stock grill and the bumper cause by the 2" lift.
