To the OP:
It's all over YouTube.

There's pics in the adult section of this forum.

Just kidding!

It's removing them for a cleaner look.
Requires installing a solenoid kit with a remote control.

Someone on here did install them a while back. iirc, he called them door ploppers (don't ask).

I would be looking for similar year non-Astro/Safari as the mechanicals / theory of operation should be close.

As was mentioned, or not, there's the unlock , unlatch and pop open parts - all can/have been used.
The Model M vans have hard to shave handles comparatively speaking because of their 'inset nature'.

Keep asking, maybe someone will wake up that has done it recently or decades ago...

If your door handles need shaving, you've OBVIOUSLY gotta stop lubing them with Rogaine! Kinda like the guy in Newark who got Viagra on his hood hinges; you DON'T wanna know how THAT story ends....

They are called door poppers not ploppers lol, I looked into doing just the back doors but they sell the kits as two or 4 poppers to a kit and they are very expensive. Also if you end up with a dead battery how do you get into the vehicle? I guess you could also put a cut away somewhere on one door so if the battery dies you can open it via a rod in a cut away attached to the inner door rods somehow?

Which parts, specifically, do you need to know where they go?

Popper goes in the door jamb, solenoid goes in the door, attached to the pull handle rod.

Those, dude ( or dudette ), are some very good questions.

The closest that you can get in line with the rod.
sgtrello wrote:where in door jamb to get the best push

The side with the latch.
