Factory roof racks, crossbeams on an angle?

Hello! First post I think.

We are trying to install our awning L brackets on the factory roof racks (Aventura System?), and I was fairly certain of my approach. I was going to use some aluminium rhs, stuff it with a bit of wood for strength and clamp it to raise the L bracket on the cross beam above the rails. But the damn crossbeams are on a tilt! Is that normal? Can I straighten these? I cannot for the life of me google how. Any ideas?

Unfortunately my underground parking has an extremely low water pipe that I miss by about 2 inches so I'm trying to work with what I have rather than installing high crossbars.

Forgive my ignorance, "RHS" ?
Spell it out one time and give dimensions, I have a feeling you are over thinking this project.

It would be easy enough to through bolt an aluminum track right to the siderail of the rack w/o a whole lot of hardware.

Aluminium RHS is just what we call the hollow square tube shaped aluminium support bars in Aus. But all good, I have solved my issue on another thread:
