Astro Starcraft mirror search

Astro Starcraft mirror search

Postby BlkChevyStarcraft [OP] » April 13th 2012, 6:09pm

Hello everyone,
I bought my 1999 black touring Astro Starcraft van straight from Japan, but unfortunately received it with a broken driver side mirror bracket. This seems to have happened in transportation from Japan dock to here, so can't claim the dealer for this damage.
I have ever since been looking around on the internet for a new one or second hand with no luck.
The model that's on my van is of the mirror company Delbar, most Starcraft vans have these. Will try to post picture of this model.
Does anyone know where I might find this mirror ? ?
Hope You can help me solve this problem :ty: Great Astro Site,

Welcome to A/S

You could just switch them back to OE mirrors probably for less then one of those if you can find them.

Even if replacing stock for stock, or same model for same model, I always do what Maher suggests. Replace both. Then the tiny (or not so tiny) differences between the two parts aren't glaring.

Welcome

They are probably Japan only mirrors. With the narrow streets in parts of Japan, your Astro probably came with smaller upturned mirrors.

I don't mind paying for a new one, just want to keep the van in the original state I bought it you see.
Hope maybe someone knows a salvage yard that has Starcraft models standing with this mirror model.
Thank you.

I took what Mike said about Japanese Astros and found these from Japanese used car site's. So looks like you might have to take your search oversea's.

I found the company. They are in tenn. Judging from their website and profile. They were special order mirrors. Not kept in stock.

I would think replacing both mirrors to the traditional style is your best option.

Thanks for your help Chevymaher, I guess I'll do a search then in Japan at those second hand car dealers that can help you with second hand parts. There must be somewhere where to find this mirror at least used.
