Shaved rear hatch

Shaved rear hatch

Postby terrymcp [OP] » July 21st 2009, 1:17am

So I have been putting off painting my van for awhile. But recently i was mowing the lawn and a rock shot out and went through the rear window in my upper hatch.(i have the dutch doors.) One corner was rusted out quite badly so no great loss. But i was forced to decide to paint my van. When i bought the new door i decided to shave my wiper motor and the popper switch. I relocated the switch to just above the liscence plate beside the plate light. Took a bit of work and alot of wire, but it was worth it. Sorry about the big pictures.

Has a very clean look to it terrymcp. Great idea in where you put the hatch button. Thanks for the pictures.:)

Very nice! I was reading your post before all of the pictures downloaded and at first I thought you were going to run sheet metal over the window opening. :) And I was thinking "that's interesting- a dutch door without glass."
