2001 GMC Safari ~ changing the grille

My van got some damage due to a deer and I've got some questions.

The original grille is [whats left of it] chrome with the composite style headlights. I bought the necessary drivers side headlight and turn signal light but I can't find a chrome grille for a reasonable price and everyone says the aftermarket grilles are cheap junk. I did find a new grille cheap but the seller won't ship

My question is ~ Can I use a sealed beam grille [I even like it better] and what all needs changed to use it if so? I'm not sure if the headlight brackets are the same on the 2 options. The sealed beams are cheap and I could sell my now complete set of compositie headlights if I decide [and can] go this route. I assume it would be a bolt on change but I'm concerned if all the headlight wiring etc... is different.

Patience is a virtue my friend!! Don't lose hope there is help here you just got to wait for the answer k.
I'll do my best.
Do you have a junk yard near you? A U-Pull-It? Go look at the mounting brackets,more than often you will find one already half done for you. And look at the light position. More than likely it will just be a matter of taking the bracket off and putting it on yours.
Premade panels with both option mounting holes. Probably not much $ either. And you may need the tail for the light socket.
Well no you will need the tail now that i think of it. Should be a simple color code match up. Trial and error my friend.
And this site is not piss poor. This is THE best site for this kind of info!
